Winterizing your spa
September 29, 2010 If you are planning on draining your spa for the winter and leaving it empty you might think twice. It really does not cost much to maintain the spa through the winter. However the main reason is think of it this way if you were to drain your car of oil and let it sit for six months what happens. Things dry out and then the seals start to dry out and crack and then pretty soon they just plain fail so that next time you add the oil you have lots of leaks and it cause many other issues.
Same is true with your spa. Everything is working fine, drain and let it sit for months you are opening the door to lots of potential issues. So just be careful.
