FAQ > Gas Fireplaces > How Should I Shut My Pilot Light Off?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

  1. Turn main burner switch to off position.
  2. Turn pilot light knob on stove/fireplace off.
  3. Near the fireplace there should be another valve to shut gas feed off. Turn valve to off Position.
  4. Now you can turn the gas valve at LP tank off. Nothing further for NG.

By following this process, starting your fireplace/stove will be much easier in the fall.
